Video to GIF, in a few seconds.

Choose a film, where to start and for how long. The GIF is made in your browser, so the video never leaves this computer.

Width, in pixels

Made on this computer, 10 frames a second. Nothing is uploaded.

Tilora

Faster still, from your notch.

With Tilora, drag a video to the top of your screen and let go on Transform. Make GIF, and it appears beside the video. Trim is there too.

Free for 7 days. Then $9.99, once. macOS 14 or later.

How to use it

  1. Choose a video, or drop it on the box above. MP4 works in every browser; a MOV from an iPhone, in Safari.
  2. Say where the GIF starts and how long it runs, up to 10 seconds.
  3. Click Make GIF. It downloads when it’s done, with a preview here.

Questions

How long can the GIF be?

Up to 10 seconds. GIFs grow large quickly; for anything longer, a video is the better file.

Why won’t my video open?

The browser plays the video to make the GIF, so it has to be a kind it can play. MP4 works everywhere. An iPhone’s HEVC MOV plays in Safari.

Is the video uploaded?

No. Your browser makes the GIF on this computer. Nothing is sent anywhere.

Can I make it smaller?

Choose 320 for the width, or a shorter length. Both make the file much smaller.
