Any picture,
the notch hidden.

Choose a photo and get it back as a wallpaper for your MacBook, black along the top so the notch disappears into the menu bar. It’s made in your browser, so nothing is uploaded.

Made on this device. Nothing is uploaded. Each wallpaper is 3456 by 2234 pixels, the 16-inch MacBook Pro’s own size.

Tilora

Or let the notch earn its place.

Tilora turns the notch into a Dynamic Island: what’s playing beside it, your next meeting, a file you just downloaded, a call you’re on.

Free for 7 days. Then $9.99, once. macOS 14 or later.

How to use it

  1. Choose a picture, or drop it on the box above. A photo from your iPhone works too.
  2. It comes back as a wallpaper, black along the top, as soon as it’s in.
  3. Click Download, then Control-click the wallpaper in your Downloads folder and choose Set Desktop Picture.

On a Mac, there are other ways too: how to do it with what’s built into macOS.

Questions

How does it hide the notch?

The menu bar shows the wallpaper behind it. With the top of the wallpaper black, the menu bar is black too, and the notch disappears into it.

Which MacBooks is it for?

Every MacBook Air and MacBook Pro with a notch. A smaller MacBook than the 16-inch shows the wallpaper a little smaller, and the black still meets the menu bar.

Which part of my picture is kept?

The picture fills the screen. Where its shape is different from the screen’s, a little is cut from the sides or the foot, and its top is kept below the black.

Is my picture uploaded?

No. Your browser makes the wallpaper on this device. Nothing is sent to tilora.io or anywhere else.
